“From Soil to Plate: How Microbes Grow Our Food” had its second iteration in Summer 2026! The students visited the Yale Botanical Garden to collect soil samples and isolate soil bacteria. They identified soil bacteria using 16S rRNA sequencing and designed bacterial communities to terraform Mars.
